루이스 클레멘츠는 영국 더비에 위치한 비주얼 아트 미디어 센터인 QUAD의 예술감독이자 큐레이터이다. 또한 영국 더비의 FORMAT 국제사진축제(FORMAT International Photography Festival) 의 공동 창립자이자 예술감독 및 큐레이터이다. FORMAT은 2004년 출범한 영국 최고의 현대사진축제이며 세계적인 현대사진 작품으로 프로그램을 기획하는 비엔날레이다.
QUAD센터에는 갤러리, 독립영화관, 스튜디오, 디지털 및 아날로그 작품 제작 공간과 영국필름인스티튜트 미디어테크(Mediatheque)가 들어서 있다. 1998년부터 클레멘츠는 큐레이터로서 여러 국제 및 현대 예술작품의 전시 및 레지던스 프로그램, 서적 출간을 담당했다. QUAD프로그램은 매년 약 15차례 전시를 기획하며 그 중 일부는 세계 여러 도시에서 전시한다.

루이스 클레멘츠는 새로운 아이디어와 다큐멘터리, 포토 저널리즘, 아카이브, 사진을 포함한 복합예술, 현대/내러티브 사진을 바탕으로 접근을 시도한 작품을 보고자 한다. 필름이나 퍼포먼스 등 다른 형태의 예술을 도입한 작품도 선호한다. 완성된 연작이 아니더라도 수준 높은 작품의 경우 리뷰 가능하며, 작가의 아이디어를 듣고 그 아이디어가 작품에 어떻게 드러났는지 보고자 한다. 거리 사진, 기존 작품, 새로운 프로젝트 등 모든 작품에 열려있으며, 앞으로 진행할 작품 계획이나 전시/프로젝트를 위한 새로운 아이디어에도 관심이 있다.
이 같은 특성이 배제된 스튜디오 누드 사진이나 여행사진, 상업, 광고사진 등에는 관심이 없다. 루이스 클레멘츠는 창의적 작품활동에 대해 비평하고, 작품 홍보와 갤러리 및 공공 스페이스에서의 전시를 위한 개념적 프로젝트 개발 아이디어에 조언을 제공할 수 있다. 작가들은 프로젝트에 도움이 될 건설적 토론을 기대해도 좋으며, 타 기관으로의 소개나 제안으로 이어질 가능성도 있다. 특별한 작품의 경우에는 QUAD/FORMAT 프로그램에 참여, 전시할 수 있는 기회를 제공할 수 있다. 참여 제안은 리뷰일정이 끝난 후 이루어지게 될 것이며, 레지던시나 프로젝트 등 여러 형태가 될 것이다.
